When I was a little girl, my sister (and some cousins) used to taunt me by singing "Lolly Lolly Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here", from Schoolhouse Rock (http://www.school-house-rock.com/Adv.html). It made me cry. Needless to day, I didn't like the name Lolly at that time.
Years later, when I worked at my Awesome Job, my friend Allie started calling me Lolly. (And she still does.) I think it somehow came out of her Scottish mother's rolling of the 'R' when saying my name.
And now, at my new job, someone else started calling be Lolly. I guess it's just a cute derivitive of Laurie.
So after 3 people who have never met each other, over a 30 year time period, have called me Lolly, I decided to embrace the name. The last two people meant it out of love, not malice, anyway.
All three were tickled when they saw the name of my business.
I'm a single mom raising The Best Kid Ever™. I'm currently temping while looking for a permanent job, as I was laid off from my job last year. Want to hire me? I enjoy reading, and crafty hobbies like sewing, cross-stitch, and beading. I like to watch movies. I watch entirely too much TV. I worship the very ground Joss Whedon walks on. And I want to have Alan Tudyk's redheaded babies.

I've been wondering this since you started your beading company: is this a nickname? If yes, where did it come from.
Yes, I am nosy.
That's not nosy. That's a fair question.

I like it.
And, that's how my japanese friends would pronounce your name.
