My latest project:
My sister and I collaborated on a gift for our parents for Christmas. It was not to be from us, it was to be from all the grandchildren. My sister got the idea, we worked together on the design, and I did the constructing. It's a family quilt, which we the grandkids gave them tonight, and which they absolutely loved. Yay!

My very own Christmas miracle!
So, as previously mentioned, my laptop power cord went kerplooey on Monday. I ordered a new cord on Monday night, with free two day shipping. (yay!) But that meant it would ship on Tuesday, and since Thursday is a holiday, I would not receive it until Friday. Not a very long wait, but with The Boy and I fighting over who gets to use the desktop computer, it was getting a bit hairy already.
Except that tonight when I came home from my parents' house, the new cord had already arrived! And it works! And the computer still works, which means it didn't get fried when the cord exploded! And I'm typing on my laptop right now! Wheeeeee!!
Oh, how I missed you, Laptop. Please don't ever leave me again.

Ah, I've taught him so well...
Just went to get our Christmas tree. This year Christmas snuck up on us really quickly, and I felt I was really late getting the tree. Sure enough, when we got to our usual place, they literally had maybe twenty trees left. One whole side of the lot, usually full of trees, was completely empty. Not much to choose from, they were all bigger and more expensive than I wanted. And then The Boy asked me: "And what have we learned about waiting too long to get a Christmas tree?"
The only answer, of course, is: "Foamy!"
Well, and: "Expensive!"
